Rockaway Beach, Queens
We make them because our grandmother's hands remembered the fold before our minds caught up — and every Sunday morning, we show up early so you can taste the difference that patience makes.
Our Story
Kopernik Polish Deli was born from a simple conviction: that the food your grandmother made wasn't just dinner — it was an act of love, and it deserved to be taken seriously.
Located on Rockaway Beach Boulevard, we bring the traditions of Polish delicatessen to Queens. Every sausage is hand-stuffed. Every pierogi is folded by hand. Every batch of dill pickles is given the time it needs.
We aren't trying to reinvent Polish food. We're trying to honor it — with the same care, stubbornness, and pride that went into every kitchen in Poland for generations before us.
The Process
We work with local farms and trusted importers who share our standard. If the ingredient doesn't meet our bar, it doesn't enter our kitchen.
Every pierogi is folded. Every sausage is stuffed. Every pickle is packed. Machines can't replicate the consistency that human hands provide.
We don't rush the boil, the smoke, or the ferment. Time is the one ingredient we can't substitute — and we never try to.
What comes out of our kitchen is what we'd serve our own family. That's not a marketing line — it's the only standard we recognize.
